i often write in different styles. for the selves (the nonfiction ones), i tend to write in all-lowercase, uppercase being for emphasis only. but this is not universal in my writing. i want to know why and how.

here, i usually writer extremely personally and sequentialls, i do not really edit anything ive written. it is a stream of consciousness. filtered, yes, even slightly sorted, but still a stream of consciousness.

but i dont always write like this. when i wrote the home page for the tudbut project i wrote it with normal capitalization. perhaps as a way to be more inviting, but im not really looking to make it ultra inviting. but i think its actually much closer to being about permanence than about what it feels like to others. anything that feels very permanent, like i will both read and edit it in the future, kind of feels like it needs to be formatted more conventionally. i dont really know why.

it might be about the informational content. that home page is mostly informational, with few passages of actual text. it is meant to be mostly neutral. the values page it links to however is once again actual text, and it is written in lowercase and much closer to the style of the selves. i think this is most likely it.

polyphasic.info is also informational (and it is meant to look serious), which is probably why it, too, uses a more outwardly neutral formatting.
