i havent had much time to write here yesterday. i spent all day lugging my stuff into an adjacent building. luckily, nobody else came after those two left - its been calm ever since. i have definitely left traces in my original building though, so i do need to find some way to keep people out. also the rooftop still has my plants on it...

i suppose i can use this day to make the old room inaccessible. i have a hammer and chisel and all sorts of other tools, in a few hours im sure i can fill the doorway with rubble.

no i cannot. i spent a good hour pounding on that wall, but all it did was make the so far relatively nice and intact looking room a mess full of dust and tiny stones. the wall carpet and door frame didnt help either. im not too sad about ruining the aesthetics of the place - there are hundreds of rooms and hallways just like this one (including the one i moved to) - but unfortunately this has only made the room more obviously tampered with. i tried cleaning some of it and moving the rubble to the balcony with the ash-tainted floor, but it didnt look right either. ive given up. i had the idea of breaking the balcony off, but i doubt ill have much luck with that either. its all obvious. my best bet is for nobody to notice.

the plants on the roof are an easier problem. there are some large bricks on the rooftop which i can stack on the trapdoor to stop anyone coming up, but thatll also prevent me coming up as well, not to mention coming down. i CAN close off the roof with a sheet of plywood though. maybe thatll make people think its been closed off for all those years so they wont check. after all, the urbexers could usually be dissuaded simply by closing the door to my building and leaving some other doors open, maybe a slightly more specialized variant of that will also work on these guys. at least for the rooftop.
